World Vision Rural Development Society

World Vision Rural Development Society (WVRDS) is a non-political, secular, nonprofit organization established in the year 2007 in Nelamangala, Bangalore Rural, Karnataka. WVRDS has concentrated social work in Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, and Shimoga where this area is noted for the plantation of crops such as coffee, tea, and spices products. The organization continues to work for the empowerment of women and youth, the promotion of fair labor standards, and the comprehensive development of both rural and urban poor communities. Especially working for Sidda, Bhovi, and Banjara tribal communities in and around Hassan and Shimoga.

Farmers Support

WVRDS which offers workshops and trainings for farmers and agricultural businesses about organic, chemical-free practices, to encourage a continued shift and commitment to ecological farming as a method to grow organic coffee and spices.
Organized agricultural awareness programs in Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, and Shimoga District, Karnataka. So far we have reached 280 farmers.

Sports and Cultural Activities

Our organization has initiated computer centers and physical training centers to encourage sports, games, yoga, and meditation among students and youths of the society in Nelamangala.
